I am eating food in my room, which is adjacent to the kitchen.

Various sounds of banging, and dishes being thrown in the sink are coming from the kitchen. Someone, apparently, disinterested in the work, is doing the dishes just for the ‘sake of doing it’. I feel deeply concerned. Dishes are not merely what they appear -plates, bowls, spoons, cups, glasses etc. They have a sacred place in our lives.

Dirty dishes signifies that you, along with your family, have been fortunate enough to eat a meal. And doing the dishes is a wonderful opportunity to feel grateful for the fact that universe has been so kind to you.

My grandmother used to say ‘Always respect your dishes. Never bang them or throw them. Never leave them dirty overnight.’

You work so hard everyday. You earn money to provide food (along with other necessities of life) for your family.

When you bang or carelessly handle your dishes, you are telling the universe that you don’t respect the hardwork you have put in to earn your daily bread. That you don’t care about the sacrifices you make every single day to give your family a better life.

Disrespecting your dishes is disrespecting yourself.

Next time, when you are tempted to bang that glass, stop and reconsider.

When I founded avdhessharya.com, I used to think that I was the only genius person with kick–ass ideas. (i.e. – to help people grow in personal development, to help make this world an awesome place and stuff like that) But I was wrong (sigh…)

During the last couple years, I have found several awesome blogs out there, and some of them have been my favorites. In today’s post I am sharing them with you.

But before that, let me take a moment to thank YOU – my dear reader.

I thank you for choosing to read me.

I thank you for the time you spend on my blog.

I thank you for the love and support you’ve shown so far (by subscribing to my blog)

A blog cannot survive without its readers. It will be absurd to write if there were no readers to read it.

Thanks so much!

Now, over to my favorite blogs.

Seth Godin’s blog: www.sethgodin.com
Seth is a marketing guru (with exceptionally brilliant ideas)
He can help you change the way you see market, marketing, business and more.

Alpha’s blog: www.amsdaily.net
Alpha provides daily dose of inspiration through her blog. You will also find guest posts by many other wonderful bloggers on amsdaily.

Ash darling’s blog: www.themiddlefingerproject.org
Ashley Ambirge, that’s her full name. And you know what-she is fucking good, and what she writes is good shit. (I know those words are a little vulgar but…so is the title of the blog..Ha..)

Colin Wright’s blog: www.exilelifestyle.com
Colin is a full time traveler and blogger. He is wanderer and explorer (he keeps on hoping between countries). No, he is NOT mad.

Joshua and Ryan’s blog: www.theminimalists.com
Joshua and Ryan are two cool guys living a meaningful life (unlike most of us) without extra stuff (clutter) surrounding them (yes, it is called minimalism) go, check out theminimalists.com. May be you also get some inspiration.

What does it mean to live life on your terms?

Does it mean that you need to live for yourself?

Does it mean that you need not care what others say?

Hell, YES!

It does include (but not limited to) both the statements above. But don’t be under the impression that by ‘others’ I mean everyone. No!

There are people right for you, and also, people who are not so right.

Living life on your terms means that you need to take care of the right ones, and ignore the rest. (ahem..people, please get aside)

There will always be people disagreeing with what you say or do, but that does not mean they are necessarily dumb and unintelligent. (It only suggests that they are not the right ones)

Channelize your enthusiasm, love and support towards the right ones. And also be willing to accept love and support in return (giving and taking are both part of the process)

Keep eliminating the ‘wrong ones’ consciously, and Define the way you want to live, and not let anyone else do that for you.

When you have clarity about the terms you want to live on, (most) things start to fall into place.

But it needs to start with YOU.

And it needs to start today!
